B.Com is an undergraduate degree course, this course teaches conceptual understanding in Accounting, Economics, Business Law, Taxation, Insurance and Management over a period of 3 years in the field of commerce. Its syllabus is divided into 6 semesters so that all Subjects can be given equal focus. After passing 12th, one can do B.Com, irrespective of the stream he passed.

The full form of B.Com is Bachelor of Commerce, it is one of the most preferred degree in India. Most of the students prefer to opt for B.Com course after 12th class.
There are two types of B.Com Course:
In B.Com Honours, only subjects of B.Com General are taught, but in B.Com Honors you have to do specialization in any one subject. Therefore, according to your interest, you can do specialization in any one of the subjects like Accounting and Finance, Economic Investment, Management, Banking and Financial Market, Marketing, etc., in which you are read in more detail.
In B.Com General Mode, you are taught all the same subjects, but in this you do not have to do any specialization, so in this way B.Com General is a bit easier than B.Com Honors.
If you are interested in doing B.Com, then you must know the eligibility criteria for admission. Its basic requirement is that you must have passed 10th +2 in any stream (from commerce or arts or science) with minimum 45 – 50% marks.
Colleges have different admission criteria for taking admission in B.Com. From the academic year 2023, most of the Central Universities have adopted CUET exam as the sole admission criteria for pursuing B.Com course. Some colleges’ shortlist candidates on the basis of marks obtained in class 12 examination.
